Join the ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app Young Double Reed Programme, an exciting opportunity to meet fellow enthusiasts, whilst learning from ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app professors.

Held on selected Sundays across the year, the ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app Young Double Reed Programme features inspiring classes, ensemble performances, masterclasses and creative collaborations. This an excellent chance to meet like-minded young musicians, form firm friendships and enjoy exploring your instrument and its repertoire, supported by wonderful teachers and players.

Spend time with world-leading teachers exploring new repertoire in ensembles, masterclasses and creative collaborations, as well as learning about breathing techniques and reed-making. You will also gain valuable advice about how to prepare for auditions, develop performance skills and receive peer-to-peer support from other young musicians in a supportive and friendly environment. Each session will be led by oboe and bassoon professors, aided by current ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app students and alumni, overseen by Sarah Burnett and James Turnbull.

Open to: 11–18 year olds (Years 7 to 13)
Standard: Grade 6+
Dates: Sunday 18 January, 8 February, 22 February, and 8 March, 12–5pm with a 5-6pm performance on the final date

The ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app provides light refreshments throughout the year. There is also a range of restaurants, cafés and other establishments nearby, most adjacent to South Kensington station.

·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app Café

The ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app Café serves barista-style coffees, sandwiches, snacks, salads and hot food. There is also access to outside seating in our new 1851 courtyard.

Opening hours: 

Monday-Friday: 8.30am-4.30pm

Saturday: 8.30am-4.30pm (term time only)

The main entrance to the ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app has eight steps up from the pavement and two inside the main doors. A lift is available for visitors with limited mobility. The lift is built into the smaller staircase to the left of the main entrance steps. There is an intercom button on the control panel, which can be seen and reached easily from the street. On arrival, press the buzzer to notify a member of ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app staff, who will come out to meet you and operate the lift for you.

All our event venues can be accessed by visitors with limited mobility via the lift at the main entrance.
